Grant Committee Meeting Minutes

February 12, 2013

The CT Lacrosse Foundation Grant Committee met via conference call on February 12, 2013 at 7:00 pm to review all grants received for the Spring 2013 grant period.  The following Grant Committee members were present for the meeting: Sandy MacMullen, Rob Peterson, Mark Duclos, Darren McGowan

The following Grant Committee members were absent: Jon Einhorn, Jay Fellows, Ted Murphy, Rob Hoynes.

I)The following topics were reviewed prior to review of the grants:

a.Mark Duclos’ address on the grant application needs to be changed to 24 Carnoustie Circle, Bloomfield CT 06002.

b.It was confirmed that the Grant Committee has $6,000 available for grants in 2013.

c.The Grant Committee welcomes Darren McGowan to the committee.

II)The following grant applications were reviewed and recommendations made by the Grant Committee (“GC”):

a.St. Paul Catholic High School – Varsity Boys Lacrosse Program: GC unanimously approves this grant request.  GC recommends a grant of $750. 

b.Middletown Youth Lacrosse: GC unanimously approves this grant request.  GC recommends a grant of $1,000. 

c.Norwich Youth Lacrosse Association: GC unanimously approves this grant request.  GC recommends a grant of $750. 

d.Montville Lacrosse: GC unanimously approves this grant request.  GC recommends a grant of $1,000. 

III)The members present at the meeting agreed the absent members should have the right to review the GC Meeting Minutes and make comments relative to the decisions made.  It was further agreed, if there was disagreement (by the absent members) to any of the above decisions, the GC would convene again to review, prior to making our recommendations to the Executive Committee.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm.
